Studio 15 Keyboard/Touchpad issues
Having issues with my computer is never fun, especially when it takes forever to talk to support with dell.
My keyboard on my laptop was having issues, exactly the same issues described here: http://en.community.dell.com/forums/p/19106893/19400974.aspx by many other people.
Basically the keyboard is not responsive at all times. Many of the keys will not work the first time pressed, which makes it very diffcult to type.
The fix to this problem described on the forum posting was to take out the battery and hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds. This is supposed to discharge static that has build up and was causing the issues.
At first this seemed to fix the problem, but five minutes later it's happening again.
After being on phone support with dell for an hour they decided that they cannot help me until monday when the laptop is registered under my name.
This sucks.

UPDATE 1: After talking to dell again they sent me a new keyboard. Installing it was easy but the problem still exists.
UPDATE 2: Dell decided this is a problem with my motherboard, they sent me a box to mail it to them (to Texas). The support guy tells me it wont be more than two weeks before I get the computer back.
UPDATE 3: The computer has been mailed back to dell. I should have the computer back within two weeks from today (today is 10/13/2009).
UPDATE 4: Dell has received the computer in Texas. (10/19/2009)
UPDATE 5: I got the computer back on 10/21/2009, so it was only 8 days gone, pretty good. The bad news: the problem still exists :( .
